Hi,

My name is Tea Vatsadze, and I’m a film director, writer, and editor. Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, I hold a degree in Animation Directing from the Film and TV faculty at Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film Georgian State University. My creative journey spans over nine years, during which I’ve written, directed, and edited more than 30 short fiction and documentary films, along with a few music videos.

Beyond filmmaking, I’ve worked as an international relations manager and translator for prominent film festivals across Georgia, fostering global connections in the industry. My editing experience has further honed my storytelling skills, adding depth and precision to my creative projects.

One of my recent short films, “45”, has been screened at several international film festivals, earning nominations at the Oniros Film Awards and selections at the Toronto International Women Film Festival, among others.

In 2020-2021, I had the privilege of participating in the Sarajevo Talents Script Station, a renowned platform for emerging filmmakers. I am currently working on my debut feature film, “Gravity,” which was honored with the Best Female Director award at the Svaneti International Film Festival’s pitching forum. I actively engage in international film programs and collaborations, driven by a passion to tell meaningful, compelling stories.
